Meet the Team
In our world, cows set the schedule and that schedule is 7 days week, including holidays! It takes a dedicated team to keep up!

Owner and Operator
Aspen
Dairy farming is not in my background. My childhood was blessed to revolve around horses and my young adult life included 12 years as an aircraft mechanic for the army as a civilian and then for Homeland Security. It was chronic stomach pains that brought me to where I am today. I was diagnosed with severe leaky gut and my gut bacteria micro-dome was overloaded with "bad" bacteria while the "good" bacteria was in short supply. One step towards healing was adding raw milk to my diet. Enter Truffles the dairy goat, and my discovery for both the love of milking and a better lifestyle. Once my first cow came home, I was hooked! Now, I am thrilled to offer fresh, raw, delicious milk to your family so you can experience the same healing benefits I did! Think of me as your neighbor with a cow!

Barn Manager
Nevada
Nevada not only works at the farm, but also lives here. She keeps a "keen" eye on the health and well being of each cow, 7 days a week. She's obsessed! If a cow sneezes or coughs, she's monitoring closely. She keeps water troughs clean and filled as well as proper minerals stocked, while also ensuring the hay is top notch. She bottle feeds babies, checks pregnant heifers, assists with birthing, cleans stalls, keeps up on inventory, among a million other things! She's completely irreplaceable.

Delivery & Barn Assistant
Sarah
Sarah is sunshine on steroids! She is full of kindness, energy, enthusiasm and she has one of the most beautiful souls you will ever meet. She didn't start as a helper, but as a roommate. With no previous exposure to large animals, she was admittedly nervous around them at first. But her big heart quickly warmed to them and now you would think she had been raised on a farm! Her passion for healthy food produced locally makes her a perfect piece of the puzzle at Peachy Keen. She's looking forward to meeting many of you while shes out delivering milk and soon at the Farmer's Market in Seattle! If you get to meet her in person, you're in for treat! She'll make you feel so special while she happily answers any and all questions you might have. Because she lives at the farm too, she has special insight to our operations.

Milker
Emily
Emily has a quiet confidence that can't be underestimated. I fist met Emily as a local customer who consistently came to the farm for her weekly bottles of milk. That humble, kind, strong, confidence of hers stood out right away and I hoped that one day she would join the team. To my delight, she accepted my offer to learn to milk the cows! She had no prior experience but was willing to learn. It takes a unique skill set to milk 10+ cows with the old fashioned milking units we use. A person must be strong and able to lift up to 65lbs at an awkward angle, also be willing to push a 1000 animal around as well as have intricate attention to detail and cleanliness. Emily fits the bill perfectly! As icing on the cake, she sings the most beautiful songs to them while she milks and I'm certain they give more milk to her because of it! It's really so peaceful and lovely.

Milk Bottler & Delivery
Amelia
This girl is a powerhouse! She's a motivator, encourager, piece-picker-upper! She thrives when the going gets hard. She's not afraid of long hours, problem solving a new challenge, keeping up with inventories, cleaning or even dreaded paperwork. We first met when she came by the farm to pick up raw milk weekly when we first opened for business in 2022. As we interacted over the months, a deep friendship was kindled and now, I'm not sure where I would be without her. She's as passionate about raw milk and the farm as I am. You might meet her out and about when she's delivering milk to the stores. She's a bundle of love and will happily answer any questions you might have if you see her. She also bottles the milk with supreme care to ensure it's always 100% perfect!

Milk Bottler
Courtney
Want to have some fun while you work? Call Courtney! She's bottled the milk since we opened and she's on top of her game in the milk room! Full disclosure, I am not personally interested in bottling the milk any longer, I believe the term is "burn out," and Courtney understands this at a core level. She shows up to work religiously, even sacrificially when need be for the often monotonous, meticulous, standing for hours routine! Her dedication to Peachy Keen Farm is deep in her heart as she is a raw milk enthusiast with kids of her own who drink the milk daily. She has a deep love for animals and always says hi to the bottle calves before she starts her shift. Her presence is meaningful and an integral part of the team! The hours upon hours of time spent in the milk room as allowed her to listen to all the podcasts available for murder mysteries, so if you have case to solve, you may want to contact Courtney to help solve it. :)

Milk Bottler
Jessica
Jessica bottles the milk with love! Since she's been bottling since the beginning, she knows the ropes like the back of her hand. I think she could bottle milk blind folded! She is devoted to clean, meticulousness washed bottles (opportunity to add that the bottling girls appreciate those of you who regularly rinse the bottles before you return them!) This woman is 3 steps ahead all the time! She's focused and in the zone when she's in the milk room. She is dedicated to clean bottles, organizing, cleaning and incredibly thorough sanitation. There is never a doubt the job is getting done right when Jessica is at the helm! She's also on top of inventory and is quick to volunteer for the less fun jobs, which just adds to her long list of attributes making her a wildly valuable woman at the farm.

Mentor
Jim
Jim has saved my bacon at the farm more times than I can count. First, I'm not sure how I got lucky enough to get him on my team since I'm such a small farm. This man has traveled the world for the largest dairy supply company and he's worked in high profile positions at dairies around the country. Some milking as many as 20,000 cows daily. Not to mention he's owned his own dairy... of course. Several of the recent ideas around the farm that have added efficiency and function are thanks to him. He keeps a watchful eye on the cows body condition and offers nutritional advice when needed. On top of the incredible resume, he's an optimistic soul who smiles easily and genuinely cares about people. He also likes to weed-eat and mow! Who is this guy!?
